New Project

To start a New Project while inside Celtx, select one of the pre-loaded Templates listed on the Celtx Splash Page. The Templates include film, theatre, audio, AV, Comic and Text.

You'll be asked to give the Project a name when you do the first Save.

• Your Project Title. This appears in Project Central, amongst other places.

• Browse

  Customize your Save Location by choosing a specific save location for your project. The Browse button:

  • Changes the location where the project is saved
  • Updates the location path in the dialog
  • Remembers new save location for future projects

  If you prefer not to customize your saves, the default save location for your operating system is:

Windows	My Documents
Mac	Documents
Linux	home

Once you have selected a Template your new project will open in the Script Editor display window. What blank tabs appear in your project is specified in Tools | Options... | General | New projects contain:

You now have the option to start writing your script or add additional items to your project.
