R+

This increments the Revision

Revision Name

This can be changed at any time. The Revision name will appear on the Title Page of the script and on each page of the screenplay.

Colour Edits

Edits in Revision Mode can be colour coded

Scene Numbers

Scenes numbering will increment with each and can be displayed Right, Left, Both or None. Support is provided for the Hollywood (A/B) standard, a Celtx Numeric (1.2.1) or you can create your own template.

The Fix option provides an easy way to manually fix any scene numbers, reset the Scene numbers to standard format, or to change the style of the Scene numbering.

Display Marks

You can choose between ‘All Marks’, ‘Current’, or ‘Hide’ to track colour edits. You can also 'Unmark' or 'Mark' any section of a Script.

Omit Scenes

Omits any scene that the cursor is in.

Revision Marks and Scene Nesting

Any edits made to the screenplay will be marked with the selected colour. You can change the colour at any time using the colour drop down in the toolbar. Scenes will increment per the default mode which is the Hollywood standard (A/B Scenes). The Revision mode does not support A/B pages. Revision mode supports three levels of nesting.

Fixing Scene Numbers

You can manually change the Scene numbering using the ‘Fix’ option under the drop down for setting scene numbers and layouts.

Once selected, you can use ‘Fix’ to change the numbering of any scene or reset all the scene numbers back to standard mode while still keeping the coloured edit marks.

Printing Revisions

Printing a Screenplay that is in Revisions can be done straight from the editor window or through Typeset. Printing from the editor will print the coloured Marks. Printing from Typeset will provide the industry-standard ‘*’ notation next to any change.

Resetting Revision Mode

You can reset the Revisions mode to put your script back in to Standard editing format by selecting that option from ‘Script’ in the main menu.

Text Lock Mode

A new Lock icon in the Script Editor Toolbar will lock the script so that the text cannot be edited. The sidebars remain active - the Scene Navigator allows you to jump around the script, the Production Items Sidebar remains active so you can still add Notes, Media and complete a Breakdown, and the Project Library still allows you to organize all the items in your project.

Sketch Tool

A new Sketch tool allows you to better visualize your ideas and shots and lets you add your own drawings to a Project. Sketches can be added as separate items to a Project or to your Storyboard.

The Sketch tool includes pre-loaded icons for camera, lights and people that can be tagged with text. There are also tools for drawing lines, arrows, shapes and adding text to the Setup. Professional sets of additional art images (eg. girl, boy, crowd, car, furniture/fixtures etc.) can be purchased from the Celtx web site.

Adding a Sketch to your Project

Use the ‘Add’ button in the main toolbar to add a Sketch to your Project Library.

After adding a Sketch, a new Tab will open. You can use the drawing tools in the Sketch toolbar to draw objects. You can also drag and drop objects from the Palette.

To copy and paste a sketch, add another sketch to your project, open and copy the existing sketch and paste it into the mpty new sketch using the copy /paste icons in the Sketch toolbar.
